A Circle Has No End

Copyright Gary Likert    mrgare5050@gmail.com

This is based on Asimov's Foundation series of SF novels.  It was kicked off at Les Morey's Bellview house when he said, play something with ascending chords.  The Founding was also written at his house.  Vintage 90s recordings are included of the Circle songs, the Founding, and Field of Grey (with attendant instrumentals)  New recordings of Mule, New Dark Ages, the four songs included in An Unlocated World, and Back on the Plan were required.  Most of these existed in sheet music form but were never recorded.

A Circle Has No End  (also appears in Gwyneth and Owen)

The Founding  (there is another version on the front end of 'Best Laid Plans' not included here)

A New Dark Ages  (see outakes for a slower, more complete version)  (also contains 'In the Vault')

Best Laid Plans  (also contains 'Why Should We Worry') (there is another brief song not included here on the recording of this called 'I Know')

An Unlocated World   (contains 4 songs, ' History's Calling', 'Galactic Storm Rising', 'The Magicians', and 'An Unlocated World')

The Mule   (there are two versions of this song, it also appears in Gwyneth and Owen as 'You're Not the One')

Procession/On a Field of Grey/The Palace Green (Procession and Place Green excerpted from a longer instrumental selection)

Going Back on the Plan (also contains a reprise of 'History's Calling') (there are two versions, 'Back on the Plan' and 'Going Back on the Plan' with slightly different background vocals)

Stars End (Lands End) (there are two versions of this song, it is called 'Lands End' in Gwyneth and Owen, but was originally Stars End here,  this is the version with 'lands end')

Outtakes

A New Dark Ages (longer)

Back on the Plan (different background vocals)
